i joked that mark could be my first "guest blogger" (ya know, for all of my 2 followers-hahaha). his project would be garden boxes. so, here ya have it: my AMAZING farmer-builder husband built us these planter boxes to put some of our annual summer crops in. we thought we'd try for something a little different this year, plus, i think the boxes look good too. he jumped right on it when we started talking about it. if you'd like to know how he did it let me know and i'll get the info. the seedlings have started in the window box in the kitchen and we are waiting to fill the boxes with dirt and soil to transplant them. hopefully i'll have more pics as the harvest appears.

Okay what are you planting??? Nick will have to talk to Mark about what material he used for the planter boxes, b/c we're doing this too. Want to officially start the vegi co-op???
That was me, Becky, BTW
ha ha...i wondered, beck! i was like, "hmmm, who is luke and how is nick related"...then i remembered it was you!! yes, on the co-op. we are planting the following: green beans, broccoli, carrots, spinach, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, and we have some strawberries...but the bugs seem to enjoy them more than we do. gotta spray them. by the way, use organic dishsoap and dilute it with water to keep the bugs at bay and keep it organic (aka chemical free)!!! not sure how much we will produce this year. i am a little behind on the crops, but we'll see.
