repurposed table

i bought this table at an antique store when i graduated from college.  i instantly fell in love with it and used it for my computer and printer.  when i got married it came along with me and was once again used for the computer.  mark and i eventually got a bigger desk and mark wanted to give it away.  oh, ye of little faith.  i knew ONE DAY i would find a new place for it.  well, my friends, that day has finally arrived.  i moved the previous coffee table bench to the entry and needed a new coffee table to rest my feet, and well, my coffee.  mark cut down the legs and viola-our repurposed desk is now a new coffee table.  i think i might even like it more as a coffee table.  thanks, mark!

guest blogger addison

i am happy to announce the second guest blogger (ha ha ha-i crack myself up).  it is my three year old daughter, addison.  she painted this rock blue and then i decorated with she and her sister's names.  i just love pretending like i have guest bloggers.  of course, the first one was mark, my husband.  he made us some great planter boxes for the garden.

i joked that mark could be my first "guest blogger" (ya know, for all of my 2 followers-hahaha). his project would be garden boxes.  so, here ya have it:  my AMAZING farmer-builder husband built us these planter boxes to put some of our annual summer crops in.  we thought we'd try for something a little different this year, plus, i think the boxes look good too.  he jumped right on it when we started talking about it.  if you'd like to know how he did it let me know and i'll get the info.  the seedlings have started in the window box in the kitchen and we are waiting to fill the boxes with dirt and soil to transplant them.  hopefully i'll have more pics as the harvest appears.
