i am more in love with the man i married today, than i was july 6th, 2002. it is funny how having children with someone can change your image of them (wait, i mean in a good way, of course). from the first date, i knew he was amazing. i even knew he would be a great father before he did-god just needed to work on his heart a bit for fatherhood (for a whopping 5 years-but, i am NOT complaining!). he is the most compassionate, gentle man ever and so incredibly wonderful with his two little girls. he was made to be a father of girls. he loves them like no other. i am so thankful for the man god gave me to spend the rest of my life with. addison and august, you are so blessed to have the daddy you have. he loves you so much. thank you mark, for being such a wonderful daddy to our girls.
so sappy stuff put aside, when i asked mark what he wanted to do for father's day he replied, "take the trailer to the beach and hang out." of course, should have known. the whole day was awesome. started out with a great sermon from bruce on courage, off to get some sandwiches, and then to the beach. the weather was beautiful and we had a blast.
oops! got to the beach and realized i had forgotten the camera.
so, i had to take pics at some point.
after the beach we went home and played in the street a bit (wait, that sounds so irresponsible of me), i mean we played on the side walk (that sounds better). i got a skateboard for mark for father's day (the cool longboarding one-thanks to my amazing brother, who sold me his used one he didn't want anymore-thank you uncle stephen). mark was so thrilled to have a new "toy." he has taken the girls on many rides already. even the sierra, our neighbor. they all line up for it. so cute.
happy father's day mark
and happy father's day to my own dad...another amazing man who, along with my mom, first taught me about loving jesus!
