we had the opportunity to go visit some friends in northern california (orovile, ca). we had a BLAST...and when i say blast, i mean blast. they live in this small town-"out in the boonies" as we big city folk might say (that was to be said with a southern accent...now sure why, it just sounded better). they have this beeeeeauuuutiful huge house with plenty of room for all the lil munchkins to run whild (and there were 6 total). the kids all ran around barefoot in their bathing suits up dirty, dusty, rattle snake territory for three days and lived to tell about it (don't worry, no snake spottings this time-i think sarah killed it before we got there :) ). rob built these amazing water slides the kids went down and then to top it off...he also built a zip line for them too. our kids were in heaven. the third day he and his family took us out on their boat to a house boat, which was docked in a cove on lake oroville. the kids (and the mommies) got to ride "the tube" and we swam and hiked and it pretty much was a blast! we already plan to go back next year! thanks, rob and sarah, and mom and dad mc cullough for making our visit so special! not to mention, laura, who beat me in banana grams :) see ya next summer!
